Private lessons are an excellent way for your student to improve over the summer. Many of our students take private lessons during the school year, and even more take over the summer! We highly encourage private lessons for all of our students. For a list of private lesson teachers, please click the link below. Ask your student or director for the password.
Q:What are Private Lessons?
A: Private lessons are much like your typical Piano Lesson. Student attend a private instrument lesson once per week with an instructor to work on instrument specific needs. This is a great time to get caught up, answer any questions, work on difficult music, or prepare music for upcoming auditions. Private lessons are typically 30 minutes and range in price from $15-$25 depending on the expertise, experience, and demand of the director.
There are a number of band camps throughout the State during the summer. Band camps typically last 1–2 weeks. Students will have the opportunity to work along with students in their age group. Camps include full rehearsals, small group and large group lessons/sections, and fun activities. Depending on the location, some camps are overnight camps where students stay on a college campus. Other camps are day camps where students are dropped off each morning.
