Mr. Phil Robb joined the RICHLAND education team in August of 2009. Prior to his time at RICHLAND, Mr. Robb attended the University of Kentucky where he received his Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree under the direction of James B. Campbell. In 2014, Mr. Robb earned his Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Governor’s State University. At RICHLAND, Mr. Robb has taught general music, enrichment, and technology courses. He has also served on numerous committees including the: School Improvement Plan Committee, Technology Committee, Evaluation Committee, and chaired the Professional Learning Community Committee.
Outside of RICHLAND, Mr. Robb is active in the music community. He serves as the Percussion Coordinator for the Lockport Band Program, and sits on the Illinois Music Educator Association District I Leadership Team as Chair for the Junior Festival. Mr. Robb is a frequent judge and clinician for regional programs and state organizations.
Mr. Robb is a recipient of the 2015 IGSMA Barbara Buehlman Young Conductor Award and the 2017 Quinlan & Fabish Chicagoland Outstanding Music Educator Award. He is a Certified Google Educator and a member of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), Illinois Music Educator Association (ILMEA), Illinois Grade School Music Association (IGSMA), and the Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA).
